Portraitist (Biography)

Tommy Clifton

Interview with an artist:

Tommy discovered his love of photography in college at DAAP at the University of Cincinnati. While attending he studied Urban Planning, as well as landscape and fine art photography. However, it wasn't until he graduated that he realized he wanted to pursue a career in photo and earn his living working with people, especially kids. He has always harbored a desire to teach, and has spent time as the Technology Director for Cardinal Pacelli School.

As a professional, Tommy tries to better the community any way he can. He's become the photographer for many local non-profits, real estate, and events thoughout the tri-state area. He brings special and valuable talents to Lowry Photo Group. As a business owner and design consultant he has a knack for recognizing and creating opportunities. By introducing new products and services to our menu, Tommy has created new ways to satify our current clientele, while discovering and enticing many new customers.

Working a photo-shoot with Tommy

Tommy enjoys all forms of portraiture. He really enjoys working with people, especially with children. His time as a sports coach allows him to empathize well and make his subjects feel very comfortable and relaxed. This definitely carriies over into his wedding photography. He bridges the gap between photojournalistic / traditional in shooting style and tries to make the day special, fun, and relaxed for his couples.

He is a very easy-going and fun photographer to work with and he will make your photo session enjoyable!

"I am a big kid, and my shoots are always light and fun. We go to the park or studio, play around and take some photos, this is what I love to do!"
