Christopher Lowry
Growing up in the Graphic Arts community with my Father's studio - Creative People Inc, I learned a lot, and met a lot of imaginative individuals. Helping in the darkroom, processing film and making Photostats, I gained experience and paid my way through college.
Upon graduation from Xavier University I landed a job with a major commercial studio where I gained valuable photographic and client relationship skills. While primarily photographing products for use in brochures, catalogues, and magazine ads, I found that the most enjoyable work I was doing was out of the studio, covering events for many of these same businesses.
Weddings have been a big part of Lowry Photo since it opened its doors in 1991. What prompted you to focus on them?
Someone suggested I try my hand at wedding photography, which I instantly found to my liking. It gave me the opportunity to think on the fly, work in a variety of beautiful settings, and to meet and work with interesting people on the most exciting day of their lives.
After six years of experience with the commercial studio, as well as a wedding business, I formed Lowry Photo. We specialize in images of people, offering studio and location portraits, as well as wedding and other event photography for both business and individual clients.
The range and variety of work we're asking to do keeps me excited and passionate about the art of photography after twenty yeras in the business. The talented people I have surrounded myself with help stimulate new ideas and approaches in an ever changing and evolving industry. Together, we offer stylish and quality products to people who engage our services.
